The Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) is proud to present the 52nd Annual Junior Art Show, now on display at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center.
This year’s exhibition features 87 artworks created by more than 50 student artists from kindergarten through 12th grade. The show includes drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and mixed-media works, highlighting the creativity and talent of Mercer Island’s young artists.
Students were recognized at an awards reception on June 27, where ribbons and special awards were presented to outstanding artists across multiple age groups and categories. Special awards included the Joan and Leonard Lucia Art Inspiration Awards, Ewan Lill Art Awards, Jean Jack Memorial Award, Rose Preston Award, Whitaker Family Abstract Art Award, and June Lindsey Award for 3D Art.
The Junior Art Show is made possible through the support of Mathnasium of Mercer Island, award sponsors, MIVAL members, and volunteers dedicated to encouraging young artists in our community.
The exhibition is free and open to the public through August 21 at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center.
